About Us

CraftedQC began in 2015 in Davenport, founded by Mary — a passionate artisan who still sells her handmade work in the shop today. Now located in the oldest building in LeClaire, we’ve grown into a vibrant creative space featuring close to 100 makers from across the Midwest, with about 95% proudly rooted in the Quad Cities. We celebrate the magic of small shops and the artisans behind them, offering one‑of‑a‑kind creations, unique vintage finds, and an ever‑changing inventory that reflects true Midwest creativity.

Today, CraftedQC is co‑owned by Danielle Schertz and Jennifer Dailing, two women whoes creativity, passion, and community spirit shape the heart of the shop.

Danielle, owner of Crafty Giraffe Creative, grew up in small‑town Iowa where a creative childhood sparked a lifelong love of making art. Based in Bettendorf, she works as a Realtor, graphic designer, and constant creator—usually crafting something new or remodeling her home yet again. Along with being a wife, mom, and enthusiastic animal lover, Danielle thrives on building beautiful things and sharing her creativity with the community.

Jennifer, the maker behind Jennifer’s Vintage Finds, brings her love of treasure hunting—estate sales, auctions, thrifting, and all things well‑loved—to CraftedQC. A mom of four daughters and “Mimi” to her grandkids, she balances family life with raising chickens, tending plants, and enjoying the quiet just outside LeClaire. As co‑owner and the organized “back office” of CraftedQC, she blends longtime office‑management skills with her passion for unique finds, giving the shop its warm, curated character.

Together, Danielle and Jennifer continue the mission Mary began: celebrating Midwest makers, supporting small businesses, and offering workshops that invite you to learn new crafts and create alongside the talented artisans who inspire our space.
